What do fragrance "notes" refer to? You may ask yourself, what exactly these "notes" you read listed within a fragrance. "Notes" are like music notes. Alone, they are nothing, but combined together, they become something. Notes are the different herbs, plants aromas that make up the fragrance. Fragrances could be made up with thousands ingredients to make each fragrance unique and special. There are three different kind of notes, the top note, middle note and base note. The top note, the first one you smell and the strongest, although it will shortly fade away and be replaced with the middle notes, which last longer. Finally there are the base notes, which could last hours, but are the weakest aroma in the fragrance. Common notes include: rose, spice, leather, musk, gardenia, carnation...etc

What's the difference between After shave, and Cologne? Both After shaves and Cologne are meant for Men. After shaves will usually sting as well as help close the skin pores, which is helpful after shaving. After shaves are also meant to cool and soothe the skin after shaving to prevent shave burns. Cologne is simply a fragrance, not meant for anything specifically. Cologne is the male equivalent of perfume, for women.

Do you know any tips to help increase a fragrance's shelf life? All fragrances should be kept in a cool, dry area and as far away as possible from windows which bring in sun and heat. We suggest keeping the fragrance within it\s original box. If the fragrance is a "splash", close the bottle immediately after applying, to preserve the liquid.
